I just realized that in 4 months we'll be getting ready for our trip to Europe! Yay!

Camping

Our small group went hiking and camping in Red River Gorge. Kent couldn't go (studying...boo!), but Ashley helped me get the tent set up.

Reds Game

May 28, 2008 - We went to a Reds game with our friends Lara & Taylor.
We were hoping that Ken Griffey, Jr. would hit a couple of home runs so we could see him hit 600, but no such luck. It was still a fun time.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day Weekend with Kent's Dad, stepmom, brothers and sister-in-law at cabin near Brown Co., Indiana.

Jenny cooking breakfast
The cabin had a fire pit just outside, so we made some yummy s'mores.
Debbi all wrapped up by the campfire.
We found Hungry, Hungry Hippos at the cabin. You would be surprised how scary 4 grown men playing this game can be.

Small Group Outreach

Every so often our small group does a Random Act of Kindness night. Here's a picture of our friends George and Julie handing out bottled water at Seneca Park.

Cincinnati

We went to Cincinnati for a long weekend. On Friday we went to the Newport Aquarium (pictures below). On Saturday we went to the Underground Railroad museum. The rest of the time we just rested and enjoyed some time together. Kent with a bird very close to his head.
Watching the sharks in one of the tunnels. We spent a long time here just watching them swim around.
Petting sharks
Kent took a picture of me in the bird area because I was freaked out by both the birds (I'm scared of things with beaks) and by the masses of children. God bless my teacher friends!
The jellyfish tanks were so pretty.

What's happening...

Kent just finished another semester of school, and did really well, especially considering he was working and going to school. Kent will have a busy summer with 12 hours of classes, but we're looking forward to some fun things. Kent is playing softball with our church again, and we're spending Memorial Day with his family at a cabin in Indiana. I'm happy to be done with tax season, and have all kinds of projects to work on. Hopefully we'll get in some hiking and camping, too.
Our friends Doug and Allison had their baby boy in March. Here are pictures from when we stopped by the hospital to see them.

Slacker

So, I'm a slacker who hasn't posted since January 20, but I have a good excuse - tax season. Working like a mad woman throws a serious kink in the blogging. Besides we haven't done anything exciting because I've been working a lot and Kent has been working and going to school. Hopefully we'll have another post soon.

Music City Bowl

We went to the Music City Bowl on New Year's Eve in Nashville to watch the Cats play Florida State. We went with Kent's Dad and Stepmom, Lonnie and Debbi, and his brother and his wife, Craig and Carrie.

Our seats were way at the top of the stadium, but the Cats won, and we had a great time!

Look at all the blue!
